Qualifications

  • Broad understanding of construction Health and Safety law.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with the delivery of a variety of project work opportunities from within the TFM contract, providing essential assistance and support functions to Project Managers
  • Take control of own caseload of allocated non-complex works as appointed by the Head of Projects
  • Work with the client to clearly define their brief and develop and agree their Employers Requirements
  • Work with consultants, specialists, designers, and sub-contractors (as required) to define and document clear and concise scope(s) of work(s) under an Activity Schedule
  • Work with wider projects team in understanding the full scope of works in line with the desired project outcomes and business case. This is to be within agreed budget requirements, risk profile, and satisfy business objectives in terms of profitability
  • Work with commercial colleagues in collaboration in ensuring detailed and compliant tender process, outcomes and presentations are in place for their onward governance
  • Work within the current CDM regulations, taking on the role of client representative, ensuring appropriate appointments are made and management of PC & PD to ensure they are discharging appropriate duties
  • Ensure EQUANS SHEQ practices and processes are fully embedded within development and delivery of each project. Ensuring Safety Visits are conducted to agreed levels and recording Safety Observations
  • Ensure full compliance with EQUANS policies and procedures
  • Production and management of the project programme, ensuring any compliance to agreed timescales and identification and management of slippage and risks
  • Undertake quality audit and ensure quality metrics are captured and reported
  • Work with PMO function to develop and report on project caseloads, including inputs to project management systems
  • Show flexibility and innovation in project solutions throughout the project lifecycle, deconflicting and de-risking delivery where required to offer best possible quality to the client and stakeholders
  • Ensure customer acceptance is adhered to, in writing and in line with the project plans
  • Ensure project documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored
  • Work in collaboration with colleagues throughout the business to deliver a smooth transition to handover and beyond to "in-use" of new assets
Qualifications

We are looking for an individual with previous project management experience, ideally within the FM industry. Great organisation and communication skills. Ability to understand operational, risk and financial metrics.

Role Details

Equans is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join our team on a 6 month fixed term contract. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package. This role offers home working with some travel required in the Midlands and North west England. The Assistant Project Manager will support the Project Manager in the delivery of multiple projects with a value range of £20k to £2m. The post holder will be managing the day‑to‑day administration and coordination to ensure projects are completed.
