Job summary

A global real estate investment firm is seeking an Asset Manager to join their Student Housing team in West London. The role focuses on enhancing asset value through strategic planning and operational leadership. Candidates should hold a degree and RICS certification, along with proven experience in student housing or a similar asset class. The position allows for hybrid work with 4 days in the office and 1 day remote.

Qualifications

  • Proven Student Housing Asset Management experience or similar asset class.
  • Operationally hands on with strong financial acumen in Excel modeling.
  • Ability to travel across the UK when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall positioning of assets as well as the enhancement of cash flow and asset value.
  • Develop strategic business plans for the asset and execution of plans.
  • Provide leadership to the in-house team as well as outsourced service providers.
  • Contribute to investments and business development efforts for acquisitions and development projects.
  • Provide regular reporting to the Senior Management team and relevant Investment Committees.

The role will focus on driving the organic growth of assets within the portfolio, including formulating and executing asset management plans and marketing strategies to optimise income and value.

Key Asset Management responsibilities
  • Responsible for the overall positioning of assets as well as the enhancement of cash flow and asset value.
  • Develop strategic business plans for the asset and execution of plans.
  • Provide leadership to the in-house team as well as outsourced service providers.
  • Contribute to investments and business development efforts for acquisitions and development projects.
  • Provide regular reporting to the Senior Management team and relevant Investment Committees.
Key Asset Management requirements
  • Degree qualified and Member of RICS is essential.
  • Proven Student Housing Asset Management experience (or similar asset class).

The role will be based from their office in West London 4 days a week with the ability to work from home 1 day a week.
