Job description

Help maximise the performance and value of a growing portfolio of renewable energy assets. As an Asset Manager, you'll work at the intersection of commercial strategy, operational excellence and investor relationships, helping deliver the clean energy infrastructure needed for a net zero future.

At EDF power solutions, we’re shaping an Electric UK and Ireland. Your work will help us turn that ambition into action – delivering renewable energy solutions that will power homes, businesses and communities for generations to come.

As an Asset Manager, you'll oversee the operational, commercial and financial performance of onshore renewable assets. You’ll work with specialist teams across the business, drive continuous improvement, and help deliver the reliable clean energy needed to achieve a net zero future.

The Opportunity

As an Asset Manager, you’ll act as the investor-facing lead for a portfolio of onshore renewable assets, ensuring performance aligns with business plans and long-term objectives. You’ll influence operational strategy, support major commercial decisions, and work with a wide range of stakeholders to maximise value and availability across the portfolio.

Alongside a competitive salary and potential for an annual bonus, this hybrid role offers flexibility to work several days per week from either our #Durham or #Edinburgh office, with occasional travel to operational sites across Northern England and Scotland. A full UK driving licence is required.

You’ll gain exposure to board-level engagement, asset optimisation initiatives, budget management, investor relations and cross-functional collaboration. You will own the performance of the portfolio of several renewable generation sites for the SPV, and reporting to the Portfolio Manager.

Why EDF power solutions?

We’re united by a shared ambition: to tackle climate change, shaping an Electric UK and Ireland. Our diverse team is growing fast, driven by innovation and a commitment to clean, green energy for all.

With technologies spanning onshore and offshore wind, solar, battery storage and green hydrogen, we’re the UK and Ireland’s most diverse renewable generator. By 2035, we aim to deliver 10GW of low-carbon energy – and we’d love you to help us get there.

Who You Are

We’re looking for an Asset Manager with strong commercial and technical expertise, a collaborative approach, and experience managing generation assets within the energy sector. You’ll be comfortable working with a range of stakeholders and managing complex operational and financial matters. To be shortlisted, you need to offer…

  • Strong experience in asset management of generation assets
  • Experience within an energy company, advisory business or investment organisation managing a portfolio of energy assets or sites
  • Commercial and technical experience relating to operational energy assets
  • Understanding of energy markets, policy and regulation, including renewable generation applications and opportunities
  • Project management experience delivering energy projects and/or project financing of renewable energy projects
  • A full UK driving licence
What You’ll Be Doing

  • Monitoring and challenging operational performance to maximise asset availability and generation output
  • Acting as the primary investor contact, responding to queries and presenting at board level
  • Managing budgets, forecasts, operational reports and financial performance reviews
  • Overseeing compliance with commercial agreements, insurance requirements and operational contracts
  • Working with development and project teams to support successful project handovers into operations
  • Collaborating with engineering, performance, finance, procurement and operations teams to optimise asset performance
  • Supporting major repairs, capital investment decisions, life extension opportunities and contingency planning
  • Managing stakeholder relationships with investors, landowners and other key partners
  • Conducting site audits, turbine walkdowns and portfolio performance reviews.
