Job description

Take ownership of renewable energy assets and help maximise their performance, value and contribution to a cleaner energy future. As an Asset Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our growing portfolio delivers against business plans while helping shape long‑term success across a range of renewable technologies.

At EDF power solutions, we’re powering an Electric UK and Ireland. Your work will help us turn that ambition into action – delivering renewable energy solutions that will power homes, businesses and communities for generations to come.

You’ll work across operational, commercial and financial activities, partnering with internal teams and external stakeholders to optimise performance, manage risk and support the continued growth of a renewable portfolio targeting 10GW in operation by 2035.

The Opportunity

As an Asset Manager, you'll be responsible for managing renewable generation assets to help ensure performance meets or exceeds expectations. Working closely with operations and maintenance providers, you’ll identify opportunities to improve performance, enhance returns and support the long‑term success of a diverse portfolio of renewable technologies.

Alongside a competitive salary and potential for an annual bonus, this role offers flexibility across our UK office network. Your contractual location will be #Sunderland, #Edinburgh or #London, with hybrid working arrangements available. Travel to offices across the UK, Ireland and overseas will be required as business needs demand.

You’ll have the opportunity to influence commercial, operational and financial decision‑making across operational assets. From managing budgets and forecasts to supporting operational readiness and continuous improvement, your work will have a direct impact on portfolio performance and our growth ambitions.

Why EDF power solutions?

We’re united by a shared ambition: to tackle climate change, shaping an Electric UK and Ireland. Our diverse team is growing fast, driven by innovation and a commitment to clean, green energy for all.

With technologies spanning onshore and offshore wind, solar, battery storage and green hydrogen, we’re the UK & Ireland’s most diverse renewable generator. By 2035, we aim to deliver 10GW of low‑carbon energy – and we’d love you to help us get there.

Who You Are

We’re looking for an Asset Manager who is analytical, commercially aware and comfortable working across multiple stakeholders and renewable energy technologies. You'll enjoy solving problems, managing priorities and delivering strong operational and financial outcomes.

To be shortlisted, you need to offer…

  • A degree in Engineering or Business, or experience within an energy company, advisory business or investment group managing assets or portfolios
  • Strong numeracy skills with experience using data and analytics to support decision‑making
  • Demonstrable commercial and contract management experience, including understanding contractual obligations
  • Understanding of energy markets, policy and regulation, along with renewable generation applications and opportunities
  • Previous project management experience supporting energy projects and/or renewable energy project financing
  • A full UK driving licence with the ability to travel nationally and internationally to operational sites

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Managing the operational performance of assigned renewable energy assets in the solar storage and private wire business unit.
  • Monitoring contractual compliance across commercial agreements and key stakeholders
  • Preparing and managing forecasts, budgets and performance reports
  • Maintaining project risk registers and developing mitigation plans
  • Working with operations and maintenance providers to improve asset performance and availability
  • Supporting the transition of projects from construction into operational management
  • Collaborating with performance, engineering, procurement, finance, development and maintenance teams
  • Managing compliance with insurance, power purchase and other operational agreements
  • Supporting asset management systems, processes and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Delivering accurate management reporting and financial oversight for allocated assets

Alongside a competitive salary and potential for an annual bonus, and a market-leading pension scheme, our employee benefits include flexible benefits tailored to your lifestyle – from electric vehicle leasing and private healthcare to extra holiday and more.
