Job description

Enjoy a flexible temporary contract paying £30£34 per hour, with hybrid working, on-site parking, and the chance to lead a high-impact planned works programme in this rewarding interim Asset Manager role.

This is a great opportunity to step into a respected, award-winning housing association in Dudley.You'll play a key role in shaping asset strategy, delivering planned and major works, and ensuring homes remain safe, compliant, and well-maintained.

I'd love to see CVs from Asset Managers, Surveyors, Repairs & Maintenance Managers, or anyone with strong experience in planned works and property compliance.

As an Asset Manager, you will be:
  • Leading the planned, major works, and cyclical maintenance programme
  • Managing the capital programme in line with the 5-Year Strategy, including retrofit and carbon net zero plans
  • Overseeing reactive maintenance and ensuring cost-effective solutions
  • Ensuring full compliance with health & safety, gas, electrical, and fire safety regulations
  • Supporting and managing two direct reports (Health & Safety Officer and Asset Officer)
  • Managing contractors and maintaining high-quality, value-for-money service
  • Carrying out property inspections, overseeing voids, and monitoring estate functions
  • Leading procurement activity and managing delegated budgets
I’d love to speak to anyone with:
  • At least 2 years' experience in surveying, repairs, or maintenance management
  • A construction-related qualification such as ONC/HNC
  • Strong knowledge of building construction, defects, and planned works
  • Experience in procurement, budgeting, and compliance
  • Excellent communication and customer-focused problem-solving skills
