A leading energy provider is seeking an Asset Inspector to ensure the safety and maintenance of electrical networks in the Southeast Region. The role involves inspecting plant and apparatus, conducting diagnostic tests, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Ideal candidates will have a safety focus and flexibility to work either independently or as part of a team. Benefits include a competitive salary and a variety of perks.
This Asset Inspector will report to the Inspection & Maintenance FSS and will work within Network Operations based in our Sussex / Surrey / Kent Area area. You will be a permanent employee.
You will attract a salary of £33,247 per annum and a bonus of 3%.

Perform the full range of responsibilities associated with Asset Inspection at voltages from Low voltage through to extra high voltage
Principle Accountabilities
Nature and Scope:
You undertaking you will play an important role in the safe completion of Inspection and maintenance programme in the Southeast Region. You may work at any location within the UK Powernetworks footprint
You may be required to work either alone or with a team of other inspectors that report to a Field staff supervisor and have the support of experienced Field Engineers
Skills and Experience
The following skills and attributes are important to this role
Managers and supervisors carry both legal and company responsibilities for ensuring the health and safety of their employees, those under their control and those who might be affected by the work undertaken, i.e. public, visitors and employees of other organisations. This includes briefing individuals working for them and ensuring there is the necessary understanding, competence and application of requirements to work safely and without harming the environment.
Employees will ensure they understand the health and safety risks involved in their work activities and their responsibility to apply the controls needed to manage those risks to acceptable levels. Similarly where work activities can have an adverse impact upon the environment, and where there are legal requirements, employees will understand those impacts and the controls they must ensure are applied.
Employees need to be aware that for some craft and operational roles that work at height, or use fall arrest devices, there is an upper weight limit of 116Kg due to maximum safe working load of the safety equipment that is used.
