Job summary

National Grid is seeking an Asset Information Officer (Condition Data) to manage and improve asset condition information across multiple systems, ensuring accuracy, traceability and compliance. You will translate technical data into actionable insights for engineers and leadership, while developing reports and dashboards to guide investment decisions and regulatory reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience managing and analysing complex asset information and condition datasets.
• Strong understanding of how condition data is used to assess asset health, performance and risk.
• Experience using Power BI, Python, Excel for analytics and reporting.
• Excellent data analysis skills to identify trends and actionable insights.
• Knowledge of asset management principles, lifecycles and governance frameworks.
• Experience developing reporting, dashboards and performance metrics for stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder management with engineers, asset managers and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead the management, assurance and continuous improvement of asset condition information across systems and datasets.
• Develop and maintain robust processes, controls and governance for data accuracy and compliance.
• Analyse condition data from multiple sources, identifying trends and risks.
• Translate complex engineering information into meaningful asset information and insight.
• Produce dashboards and reports to support engineering, operations and strategic decisions.
• Lead initiatives to improve data quality and reporting capabilities across datasets.
• Support projects related to asset information, monitoring, reporting and digital transformation.
• Act as a key contact between engineering, asset management and information teams.
• Support regulatory and internal reporting through information governance and assurance.
• Lead investigations into data quality issues and drive corrective actions.
• Support audits and business improvements with expertise on asset condition information.
