Champion Lift Safety and Compliance Excellence across Thousands of Homes – join us as Asset Compliance Manager – Lifts!

We’re proud to be England’s largest not‑for‑profit provider of housing and care for older people. Safety, trust and quality sit at the heart of everything we do. Every lift, every life‑safety system, every compliance decision – each one plays a vital role in ensuring our residents feel safe, respected, and supported.

That’s why we’re looking an experienced Asset Compliance Manager to champion excellence across our lift safety and wider compliance programs. If you’re a proactive compliance professional with confidence to lead, challenge and influence – this is the opportunity to make an impact that truly matters.

What does it mean to be an Asset Compliance Manager at Anchor?
  • Own and Elevate Lift Safety Compliance
You’ll lead all areas of lift safety – servicing, maintenance, planned works and strategic asset investment. As Anchor’s subject matter expert, you’ll ensure our portfolio remains 100% compliant and our residents’ homes operate safely, efficiently and without interruption.
  • Be a Trusted Technical Leader
You’ll provide high‑level reporting to senior management, advise on legislation and standards, and guide Anchor through upcoming regulatory change. Your technical expertise will shape specifications, influence design choices, and strengthen our three lines of defence.
  • Lead and Inspire Contractor Excellence
With multiple contractors delivering across a national portfolio, you’ll set clear expectations, chair performance meetings, conduct full audits and ensure each contract delivers outstanding value, safety, and quality.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement and Compliance Culture
You’ll work closely with H&S, Property, Procurement and Operational colleagues – maintaining confidence in our compliance regimes, supporting colleagues with technical advice, and promoting best practice throughout the business.
  • Deliver Smart, Safe, Efficient Programs
From budget control and MI reporting to service contract mobilisation and remedial works management, you’ll ensure our systems, processes, and governance are robust, efficient, and resident focused.
What you’ll need:
  • Knowledge of statutory legislation including LOLER, EAWR, PUWER, CDM, H&S at Work Act and relevant British Standards.
  • Proven experience in lift safety compliance within housing, construction, or a similar operational environment.
  • Contractor management, program delivery, and project oversight across dispersed portfolios.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • A collaborative, solutions‑focused approach with the confidence to challenge when needed.
  • IT and analytically savvy, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering and NEBOSH/IOSH (or working towards)
