As an Asset Care Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring optimal performance and reliability of all manufacturing equipment, utilities, and infrastructure. You will apply your technical expertise to deliver high-quality maintenance, drive continuous improvement, and support site performance goals. This position is key to minimising downtime, enhancing safety, and ensuring operational excellence across the site while upholding Carlsberg Britvic’s standards of quality, safety, and sustainability.
Perform planned, preventative, and predictive maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimise downtime.
Conduct fault diagnosis, repairs, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and control systems across production lines and utilities.
Ensure full adherence to Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards, including LOTO, Permit to Work, and statutory compliance.
Lead or support shutdowns, inspections, and project work, collaborating effectively with internal teams and external partners.
Apply Lean methodologies such as TPM, RCA, and PDCA to drive process improvement and equipment reliability.
Work closely with operational teams to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and share learnings across the business.
Accurately record maintenance activities, spare parts usage, and asset data within SAP PM or other maintenance management systems.
Support training, standard operating procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives to build engineering capability across the site.
Proven experience in engineering maintenance, preferably within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems, including PLCs (preferably Siemens S7), HMI, and SCADA.
Demonstrated ability to apply Health, Safety, and Environmental best practices, including LOTO and risk assessments.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills with a focus on reliability and efficiency.
Strong communication, teamwork, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Self‑motivated with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to work under pressure.
Proficient in IT applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiar with SAP PM or similar systems.
Minimum NVQ Level 3 qualification in an Engineering discipline; HNC or equivalent preferred.
Time-served apprenticeship in mechanical, electrical, or automation engineering.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Operational Excellence tools (TPM, RCM, RCA, 5S, 5-Why).
Understanding of Quality, Health, Safety, Environmental, and Food Safety standards.
Experience within manufacturing, food, beverage, or FMCG industries advantageous.
