Job summary

The Disability Service is hiring qualified nurses or allied health professionals for a hybrid, Monday–Friday role delivering disability allowance assessments (PIP). You’ll manage your own caseload, perform face-to-face, virtual and telephone assessments, and produce paper-based reports with professional autonomy.

With structured hours, CPD time and a benefits package including 25 days holiday (27 with service), pension, life assurance and wellbeing programmes, you’ll be supported as you progress

Qualifications

• Qualified Nurse, Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist or Paramedic.
• At least one year of experience after qualification.
• Valid registration on NMC or HCPC without restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive PIP assessments (face-to-face and virtual).
• Deliver telephone assessments and initial review calls.
• Prepare paper-based reports (PBR) and manage caseloads.
• Assess a full range of conditions including physical, sensory, mental, intellectual and cognitive impairments.
