Job summary

ITM Power in Sheffield is seeking an Assembly Technician to support the manufacture of electrolyser assemblies. You will follow standard procedures, maintain documentation, and perform QA checks in a production environment.

Qualifications

• 5S in the workplace and working to production standards.
• Experience in a production environment and meeting targets.
• Basic PC skills and knowledge of health and safety guidelines.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and use hand/power tools.

Responsibilities

• Work to standard procedures to maintain high quality through-put.
• Ensure required documentation is completed and maintained.
• Perform quality assurance and testing checks.
• Maintain quality standards and reporting of defects.
• Complete machinery pre-use checks and report faults.
• Manage kits effectively and adhere to compliance standards.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and weld plastic pipework as needed.
• Adhere to workplace H&S procedures and keep work areas clean.
• Work to and achieve targets.

What are we looking for

We have an opportunity for an Assembly Technician within the Assembly Team, where you will be involved with the manufacture of our electrolyser and skid assemblies. You will be quality focused with a positive approach.

Hours of work 0600 – 14.00 Monday to Friday

Responsibilities

• Work to standard procedures to maintain high quality through-put
• Ensure required documentation is completed and maintained
• Perform quality assurance and testing checks
• Maintain quality standards and reporting of defects
• Complete machinery pre-use checks and reporting faults where necessary
• Manage kits effectively, sorting into designated areas whilst adhering to compliance standards
• Work to and achieve targets
• Read and interpret technical drawings
• Bending and forming of stainless-steel tube
• Prepare and electrofusion weld plastic pipework
• Adhere to workplace H&S procedures
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas

About You

Knowledge and Experience

• 5S in the workplace
• Experience gained within a production environment
• Basic PC skills
• A good knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety guidelines
• Understanding of shop floor policies and procedures
• Experience of delivering to plan right first time
• Experience of achieving targets
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Skilled in the use of hand and power tools

• Good with hands on task completion from start to finish
• Ability to highlight potential failures before they occur
• Strong communication skills, able to effectively interact with all key stakeholders
