Job summary

Eaton is seeking an Assembly Technician for its IS AER FMC division to join a team assembling hydraulic pumps, motors and generators for flight control systems in civil and military aircraft. You will interpret drawings and follow SOPs to build aerospace components.

You will participate in 5S/lean activities and may be involved in 8D investigations, contributing to a culture of safety, reliability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Aerospace qualification or similar manufacturing assembly qualification is advantageous.
• Must be diligent and able to work to tight tolerances and obtain a stamp to sign off work per specifications.
• ITAR-controlled technology handling may require additional screening during recruitment.

Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is seeking an Assembly Technician. You will be part of a team that assembles high-performance hydraulic pumps, motors, electrical generators and other components used to operate flight control systems on civil and military aircraft. What You’ll Do

The primary function of this role is to assemble new hydraulic pumps, motors and generators. The applicant must be able to interpret drawings and have the necessary skills to build aerospace products in accordance with an SOP. Other duties include participation in 5S and lean manufacturing activities and, at times, involvement in 8D investigations.

Qualifications

Skills:

• An aerospace qualification or another similar manufacturing assembly qualification is advantageous.
• The applicant must be diligent and able to work to tight tolerances and obtain a "stamp" to sign off work confirming it has been completed in accordance with all relevant specifications.
• The successful applicant will handle US ITAR controlled technology, goods and information. As a condition of employment, employees with access to ITAR-controlled technology and goods may be required to undergo additional screening as part of the recruitment process.
