Job Outline: An Operator in the Assembly team is responsible for assembling a range of sophisticated electro-optical instruments incorporating mechanical, optical and electronic components.

Key Responsibilities

• Working as part of a dedicated team, assembling a range of sophisticated electro-optical instruments.
• To provide quality work standards.
• Involvement in process improvement.
• To support the team in achieving customer requirements.

Personal Specification

• Candidates should demonstrate a good level of education (at least a grade C or above in Maths and English O Level/GCSE or equivalent), mechanical aptitude and an appreciation of mechanical principles, but above all the willingness to learn.
• Candidates should be flexible and keen to learn new processes and procedures with a positive attitude and 'can do' approach.
• This role would particularly suit candidates who have experience of using small equipment, with intricate parts such as small scale model kits, embroidery, nail art, pc/laptop hardware, mobile phone rebuild etc.
• Flexibility of working hours may be required, along with availability to work overtime to meet business needs.
• The successful candidates would ideally have experience of assembly processes and techniques.
• It would also be a great advantage if applicants had Optical Handling experience, however given the specialised nature of our business full training will be given.
