Assembler - Resin Operative - Manufacturing | Braintree | Temp ongoing

Salary: £12.21 per hour + Annual Bonus Potential (typically around 10%)

Hours: Day Shift, 38 hours per week

Location: Braintree

A well-established engineering manufacturer in Braintree is looking for a Resin Shop Operative to join their specialist production team. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity offering stability, hands‑on training, and the chance to develop niche skills within a clean‑room manufacturing environment.

Duties include:
  • Working safely to Health & Safety procedures, using PPE such as suits, gloves, respirators and safety shoes
  • Operating within a Clean Room environment, maintaining a high level of cleanliness
  • Assembling moulds, mixing resins, pouring, curing and demoulding components
  • Sanding, polishing and finishing products to specification
  • Supporting final inspection processes by following detailed procedures
  • Gluing flanges and preparing items for dispatch
  • Packing finished products securely
  • Adopting a flexible, proactive approach to meet daily production demands
Additional duties you will learn as part of your training:
  • Following written work instructions
  • Sandblasting components
  • Cleaning and preparing metal moulds, applying release agents and assembling moulds
  • Weighing and mixing polyurethane and epoxy resins, hardeners and fillers
  • Using vacuum systems to accurately fill moulds
The ideal candidate:
  • Has experience in a hands‑on manufacturing or production role (preferred but not essential)
  • Is comfortable working with resins, moulds or detailed manual processes
  • Can follow technical instructions accurately
  • Works well in a clean, structured, process‑driven environment
  • Is reliable, flexible and able to adapt to varying daily tasks
