Job summary

Office Angels (Ashford) is recruiting an Assembly Operative to join our well established client on the outskirts of Ashford. You will work with saws and machinery to cut products and assemble them, with opportunities to learn other areas of assembly.

Typical hours are Mon-Thu 8:00–17:45, Fri 8:00–16:15; benefits include weekly pay, up to 28 days of annual leave and access to eyecare vouchers, plus recognition awards and dedicated support throughout the job search.

Qualifications

• Experience with manual labour and ability to lift up to 25kg.
• Experience using handheld tools, assembly, production or woodwork.
• Safety boots and hi-vis attire required.
• Counterbalance forklift desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate saws and machinery to cut products.
• Assemble the product.
• Opportunity to be trained in other areas such as additional assembly tasks.

Job description

We are recruiting for an Assembly Operative to join our well established client based on the outskirts of Ashford. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career with a truly supportive manager.

Location: Outskirts of Ashford (must drive due to location)

Contract: Temporary to permanent

Salary: £13.33 + over time available paid at higher rates

Hours: Monday to Thursday 8am-5:45pm, finishing at 4:15pm on Fridays

Duties:

As an Assembly Operative, you will be responsible for using saws and machinery to cut products

You will also be responsible for assembling the product

Due to the size of the business, you will have the opportunity to be trained in other areas, such as assembly.

We'd love to speak to candidates who have:

• Comfortable with physical, manual work. Must be able to lift up to 25kg.
• Must have previous experience using handheld tools, assembly, production, woodwork or labouring.
• Safety boots and hi-vis attire will be required for this role.
• Counterbalance forklift desirable.
