Job description

Overview

We are looking for an Assembly Fitter to work on a permanent basis in the Wigan area.

Our client is looking for someone with an engineering qualification (HNC, NVQ, Degree or similar) with experience of working in a fitter, assembly or similar role.

Rate is £14.40 PAYE per hour plus 26 days' holiday and bank holidays, pension up to 10%, big company discounts etc.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and work from General Arrangement (GA) drawings.
• Fabricate and assemble components according to specified dimensions and tolerances.
• Fit electrical components as per the provided Bill of Materials (BoM).
• Manage tasks efficiently to meet allocated project timelines and deadlines.
• Accurately log time spent on each task using the company\'s recording system.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) / Objectives

• Timely completion and delivery of projects.
• Achievement of site-based performance metrics.
• High-quality work with first-pass yield (FPY).
• Adherence to 5S workplace organization standards.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficient in the safe use of battery-powered hand tools.

• Able to identify, report, and communicate drawing discrepancies to supervisors.
