Job summary

TipTopJob in Bath is seeking an Assembly Engineer for a precision instrumentation manufacturer. You will join an established team to assemble, calibrate and service high precision systems.

Open to mechanically or electrically biased candidates with fitter background; reading engineering drawings is essential. Overtime and training opportunities are provided, plus travel and holidays as listed.

Bath

A GBP 34,500 to A GBP 37,500 DOE (A GBP 17ph to A GBP 18.50ph) + Regular Overtime Opportunities (1.3x :1.5x) + Travel Bonuses + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Training and Development Opportunities

39 Hours per Week : Monday to Thursday 07:30 to 16:30, Friday 07:30 to 12:30

Assembly Engineer required for an industry leading manufacturer of precision instruments due to continued company growth. You will be joining a well:established company with a trading history of over 80 years, holding a global reputation and client base. The company can offer in depth product training and development opportunities for the future.

The successful candidate will need experience working as a fitter in a precise, low volume industry and can come from any manufacturing environment. This role is open to both mechanically and electrically biased candidates. You will need to be able to read and interpret engineering drawings.

The Assembly Engineer will be joining a growing engineering team responsible for the assembly, calibration and service of high precision systems. You will be involved in both mechanical assembly and electrical wiring and integration.

The Assembly Engineer Role

• Mechanical assembly of high precision systems used in industries including aerospace, data centres etc.
• Electrical wiring and basic fault finding
• Calibration of finished products
• Regular overtime available
• Full product training provided
• Once fully trained you will support the team with site installations of equipment and yearly inspections approximately 1x a month

The Assembly Engineer Candidate

• Fitter / low volume assembly experience.
