Job summary

Pertemps Bond is recruiting for an Assembler in Halesowen. The role involves hands-on assembly and operation of production machinery, with quality checks throughout the process. The hours are Monday to Thursday 7am–4:15pm and Friday 7am–12pm, offering an early finish on Fridays.

The position supports a busy manufacturing team, with opportunities to progress from temporary to permanent and benefits including free on-site parking and a company pension.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in assembly, production, manufacturing or machine operation.
• Confident using hand tools and power tools.
• Good understanding of health & safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a busy production and assembly team.
• Operate automatic production machinery.
• Support setup and adjustment of machinery.
• Carry out basic checks on machinery and equipment.
• Complete quality checks throughout the production process.
• Use hand tools and power tools as required.
• Move materials around the production area.
• Keep the work area clean, organised and safe.
• Meet production targets with high quality standards.
• Report machinery or process issues promptly.

Pay Rate: £13.27 per hour

Hours: Monday to Thursday 7am – 4:15pm, Friday 7am – 12pm

Pertemps are currently recruiting for an Assembler to join a busy manufacturing team based in Halesowen.

This is a hands-on Assembly / Production Operative role working on the shop floor, supporting the production process, operating machinery and carrying out quality checks to ensure everything is produced safely and to a high standard.

The role would suit someone with previous assembly, production, manufacturing or machine operating experience, particularly someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work.

The Role:

• Working as part of a busy production and assembly team
• Operating automatic production machinery
• Supporting the setup and adjustment of machinery
• Carrying out basic checks on machinery and equipment
• Completing quality checks throughout the production process
• Using hand tools and power tools where required
• Moving materials and products around the production area
• Keeping the work area clean, organised and safe
• Working to production targets and maintaining high standards of quality
• Reporting any issues with machinery or production processes

About You:

• Previous experience in assembly, production, manufacturing or machine operating
• Confident using hand tools and power tools
• Good mechanical aptitude
• Comfortable working in a busy manufacturing environment
• Reliable and punctual
• Able to work well as part of a team
• Good understanding of health & safety
• Forklift experience would be an advantage but is not essential
