Assay Architect (f/m/d)

Independently leads new assay development and/or method improvement projects on automated immunoassay products. You will lead very complex research, evaluation, analysis and planning across multiple projects. You will provide technical leadership of projects from concept to transfer to routine manufacturing and launch.

This position is a fixed‑term position for 24 months and can be located in either Marburg (Germany) or Llanberis (United Kingdom).

Your tasks and responsibilities
  • You will lead interdisciplinary Element Team/Design Change/Design Transfer meetings and represent R&D at Core Team Meetings, responsible for the timely processing of assigned tasks.
  • You will communicate and coordinate the project requirements (resources and project budget) in the function and report them back to the project team.
  • You will plan, communicate and implement the schedule, assist in the creation of the project schedule and in the definition of measures to avoid project delays. You will provide technical management of the technical staff assigned to the core team.
  • You will guide technical R&D staff in the development of analytical verification protocols for new applications, new assay developments or lifecycle improvement projects.
  • You will lead investigations and support colleagues with your knowledge and technical questions, even outside of the team.

Your qualifications and experience
  • You have a university degree in Biological Sciences or related field – a PhD in the mentioned field would be desirable.
  • You have many years of professional experience in Life Sciences, Medical Devices or Diagnostics (preferred) or relevant transferable experience.
  • You have expert knowledge of analyzers, reagent and development processes.

  • You have excellent English language skills (verbal and written).
  • You excel by your commitment, integrity and a high level of self‑motivation.
  • You have the ability to work across different teams and collaborate effectively.
