A prestigious university seeks a Level II Registered Nurse (RN) to provide professional nursing services, collaborate with healthcare teams, and improve patient outcomes in Rochester. Candidates must have at least 6 months of RN experience in an acute care setting, possess a BS in Nursing, hold a valid New York State RN license, and be CPR certified. This full-time role requires dedication to patient care and involvement in team practices.
Provides professional nursing services for patients and their families and/or for the nursing department. Collaborates with other health care providers and health care team members to achieve expected patient outcomes and improve the care environment. Nurses use the nursing process and evidence based practice to coordinate and provide direct care and services that support care.
26‑bed unit that cares for patients with an expected length of stay of 48 hours or less.
Common diagnoses include pneumonia, urinary tract infections, asthma/COPD exacerbation, cellulitis and chest pain.
Common surgical diagnoses include mastectomy, thyroidectomy, appendectomy, kidney stone removal and orthopaedic surgeries.
The Level II RN, under the direction of the Nurse Manager, is accountable for provision of competent patient care based on established standards and the nursing process. The Level II RN may assume expanded unit roles as available and assigned by the Nurse Manager as a charge nurse or preceptor. The Level II RN supports peers in the delivery of patient care, uses appropriate team communication methods, and practices care that reflects the patient condition and priorities. The Level II RN provides support to team problem solving, identifies opportunities for self‑growth, contributes to the development of other learners, and contributes to a safe unit environment and operations.
$38.76 - $50.33. The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
