Job summary

Academics Ltd is recruiting Aspiring Teachers / Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in Cheshire and Staffordshire, with Crewe & Surrounding Areas as a base. This role offers hands-on classroom experience, flexible hours and the chance to progress toward teacher training.

Ideal candidates are graduates, sports coaches, or youth workers who are confident leading a class and can obtain an enhanced DBS check.

Qualifications

• Two months' experience working with young people preferred.
• Willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS check.
• A degree is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervising secondary school classes.
• Delivering pre-planned work across a range of subjects.
• Providing classroom cover during teachers' absences.
• Managing classroom behaviour and keeping students engaged.
• Creating a positive learning environment.
• Building the confidence and skills needed for a future in teaching.
