Aspiring Probation Officer - Young Offenders - Mental Health - Dorking
The school is near Dorking and provides support for children aged 9-16 years who have a range of learning and behavioural needs due to social, emotional and mental health challenges. All students that attend the school have a designated Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) which details specific needs in terms of care and support. The school provides a safe learning environment for children who suffer with high levels of anxiety, which can result in a lack of focus and challenging behaviour.
The school also provides therapies such as occupational therapy, physiotherapy, music, speech and language therapies where these are part of the young person’s EHCP. The curriculum team works closely with therapists to ensure the correct physical and emotional support is available at all times.
