Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting an Aspiring Primary Teacher to work within welcoming primary schools starting in September. This role is designed for graduates exploring a teaching career and aims to provide valuable classroom experience before teacher training.

You will support pupils across EYFS to KS2, assist teachers, deliver interventions in Reading, Writing and Maths, and help with SEND needs. The placement offers training, ongoing support, and opportunities to progress toward teacher

Qualifications

• Degree obtained within the last five years.
• Professional employment references covering the last two years.
• A genuine interest in pursuing a career in Primary Education.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive, enthusiastic and adaptable approach.
• Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 on a one-to-one, small group and whole-class basis.
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Deliver targeted interventions in Reading, Writing and Maths.
• Support children with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language needs and SEMH.
• Help pupils develop confidence, resilience and positive learning behaviours.
• Build strong relationships with pupils, staff and families.
• Support classroom management and positive behaviour strategies.
• Assist with lesson preparation and classroom resources.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
