Job summary

Kew Green Hotels is seeking a Deputy Kitchen Manager to support the delivery of a high‑quality, efficient and profitable kitchen operation. You will work closely with the Kitchen Manager to lead the team, maintain standards and ensure every dish contributes to a great guest experience.

You’ll cover day‑to‑day leadership, uphold food safety and team performance, and support menu planning and stock control to drive profitability.

Qualifications

Aspiring kitchen leader with passion for food, people and performance.
Experience at Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie level.
Strong leadership potential and ability to motivate others.
Commercial awareness including cost control and waste reduction.
Proactive, hands‑on approach and willing to step up when needed.

Responsibilities

Step into a leadership role in the absence of the Kitchen Manager.
Ensure food is prepared, presented and served to brand standards and food safety requirements.
Assist menu planning and implementation to drive quality and guest appeal.
Maintain cleanliness, organisation and compliance across the kitchen.
Support stocktakes, ordering and stock control to minimise waste and support profitability.
Contribute ideas to improve kitchen performance and guest experience.
Ensure health, safety, hygiene and food safety standards are met.
Train, motivate and supervise team members to deliver service excellence.
