Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting Aspiring Educational Psychologists to join SEN schools across Woking, Surrey, starting in September 2026. The role offers experience for psychology graduates aiming to progress into Educational Psychology or related fields.

You will support pupils with diverse needs, build strong relationships, and collaborate with teachers, therapists, and pastoral teams to implement targeted strategies. Flexible full-time and part-time placements are available.

Qualifications

• A degree in Psychology, Education, Childhood Studies, or a related subject.
• A genuine interest in pursuing a career within Educational Psychology or working with children and young people.
• Experience with children, SEND, SEMH, care, mentoring, volunteering, or support work is desirable.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
• A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
• A willingness to learn and complete further training within the education sector.

Responsibilities

• Providing one-to-one and small group support for pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and learning difficulties.
• Building positive, trusting relationships with children and young people.
• Supporting pupils with emotional regulation, confidence, and social development.

• Helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and access the curriculum.

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
