An educational support organization seeks an Aspiring Educational Psychologist in Littlehampton. Job Title: Aspiring Educational Psychologist - Special Educational Needs Learning Support Assistant

Location: Littlehampton

Contract Type: Long Term Contract, 5 days a week, 8:30 - 15:30

Responsibilities
  • Assisting students academically and pastorally
  • Working 1:1 or in a small group with students
  • Encouraging the development of appropriate social skills
  • Maintaining accurate individual student records
  • Participating in team meetings and training programmes as an active member of a team
Skills & Requirements
  • Assisting students academically and pastorally
  • Willing to work 1:1 and in small groups with students
  • Able to encourage the development of social skills and support students' individual needs
  • Attend staff meetings and complete CPD
  • Follow safeguarding procedures

  • Passionate about helping children to achieve their full potential

  • Caring, compassionate, and a good listener
Qualifications
  • An Undergraduate Degree (preferable) and/or previous SEN experience, ideal for Psychology Graduates/Aspiring Educational Psychologist
  • Education in English and Maths, Grade 5 / C and above (desired)
  • Knowledge, keen interest or understanding of the range of different types of learning and behavioural needs (SEMH, PRU, Cognitive Behaviours)
