Job summary

Academics Ltd in South Croydon is seeking a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to support children with complex and severe learning difficulties, with a view to developing into an Aspiring Child Psychologist. The role is on-site in South Croydon, Monday to Friday, 08:30–16:00, term-time only.

You will assist the class teacher, provide behaviour and pastoral support, and build strong relationships with students while maintaining safeguarding standards.

Qualifications

• DBS check required or eligible (Enhanced DBS preferred).
• Right to work in the UK must be demonstrated.
• Experience with students with special educational needs is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist the class teacher in providing learning experiences for students.
• Provide behaviour and pastoral support.
• Build robust relationships with students.
• Meet individual student needs with a practical approach.
• Attend staff meetings and CPD to support safeguarding.
• Willing to work 1:1 and in small groups with students.
