The Shetland Islands Council is seeking a dedicated ASN/Social Care Services PCV Driver to provide safe and reliable transport for vulnerable client groups within Shetland.

The role is based at 8 North Ness Business Park, Lerwick, with 37 hours per week across 52.18 weeks per year. Applicants must be willing to travel across Shetland and may need PVG clearance. Flexible working and interview expenses are supported.

Qualifications

• Experience driving PCV is desirable.
• Good driving record and customer care.
• Knowledge of transport of vulnerable groups is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Provide transport services for vulnerable client groups (children, elderly, disabled, special needs).
• Carry out journeys across Shetland at short notice and in varying conditions.
• Comply with PVG scheme requirements and all safeguarding policies.

• Salary shown in the advert is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance of £2,997 per annum (pro rata)per hour
• Permanent Full Time post for 37.0 Hours per Week, 52.18 weeks per year
• Preferred candidates will be required to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update prior to a formal offer of employment being made
• A relocation package does not apply to this post
• We will pay interview expenses from within Shetland
• You must have the ability to travel throughout Shetland at short notice and where public transport is limited
• We are happy to talk flexible working
