Job summary

Spark of Genius in Dalry, North Ayrshire is seeking an ASN Residential Childcare Worker to support young people with daily routines, school prep, meals and activities in a warm, home-like setting.

Experience with Autism or ASN is required; backgrounds in education, youth work, childcare or related care are valued. Full training and digital record keeping using care systems are provided.

Qualifications

• Background in education, youth work, childcare, healthcare, social care or SEN is desirable.
• Comfort with electronic care recording systems; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Support daily routines and school readiness for young people.
• Create a warm, homely environment and assist with light housekeeping.
• Build strong relationships and provide emotional support.
• Plan and participate in activities like trips to the park, movie nights, and creative projects.
• Maintain essential records using digital systems; ClearCare experience is a plus.

Role: ASN Residential Childcare Worker

Location: Dalry,North Ayrshire

Pay:£27,976 to £32,510 depending on experience and qualifications

We are looking for applicants with ASN experience and from backgrounds such as education, youth work, childcare, healthcare, social care, learning disabilities, SEN and community services

What You’ll Do

As a residential childcare worker, you will support young people with their daily routines; Getting them ready for school, prepping for meal times and planning activities. You will also:

• Create a warm, homely environment by helping with light housekeeping.
• Build strong, meaningful relationships and provide emotional support.
• Plan and join fun activities like trips to the park, popcorn & movie nights or creative projects.
• Keep essential records to ensure the best possible care.
• Must be comfortable using an electronic care recording system on a daily basis to document, monitor, and update children and young people’s records accurately. Experience with Clearcare is an advantage, but not essential, as full training will be provided. However, all staff are expected to confidently use digital systems as part of their day-to-day role.
