Job summary

The London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking an Assistant Technical Officer to join the Aseptic Services unit. The role focuses on preparing chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition products in a newly licensed clean room with competency-based training provided.

Applicants should have GCSEs and NVQ Level 2 in Pharmaceutical Services or be working towards it. The post is full-time and involves weekend, bank holiday, and late duty rotas. Eligible to work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• GCSE level or equivalent (grades A-C or 9-4) in at least five subjects, including Maths, English and Science.
• NVQ Level 2 in Pharmaceutical Services or working towards it.

Responsibilities

• Provide an aseptic service to the trust
• Prepare chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition products for wards and supply to other hospitals
• Keep aseptic clean rooms and service areas in good order at all times
• Carry out stock control: receipting, unpacking, checking and recording stock
• Follow cleanroom personnel behaviour rules
• Generate worksheets and labels from prescriptions and SOPs
