About the Role

Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging, interactive lessons across a broad range of subjects.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs and abilities of pupils.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with curriculum standards and individual goals.
  • Develop and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and set meaningful learning targets.
  • Build positive, nurturing relationships that inspire trust, confidence, and motivation.
  • Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and carers to support each child's development.
Qualifications

Working Hours & Pay

At Outcomes First Group, we value work/life balance and are participating in a 4‑Day Working Week (4DWW) trial, allowing you to work one day less each week (or equivalent hours) while still receiving your full‑time pay.

You will work 80% of your contractual hours for 100% of your pay, with the 4DWW subject to successful completion of probation and not a contractual benefit.

Curriculum & Environment

New Barn School offers a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum to boys and girls aged 6‑19 years who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health complexities. The school takes full advantage of its beautiful settings and fosters a love for outdoor learning, including forest school, farm experiences, and horse riding. The school is within a commutable distance of Swindon, Oxford, Andover, Basingstoke, Reading and surrounding towns and villages, offering a stable, secure and supportive environment in which pupils and young people can develop the skills and confidence necessary to fulfil their potential.
