ASD Specialist - Greenwich

Pay: 110 - 20 per hour

This rewarding role is ideal for someone who thrives on helping others and is committed to promoting inclusion, understanding, and growth within the education and training sector in Greenwich. You will play a vital role in supporting children and young people with ASD to access learning in a way that suits their individual needs, helping them build communication skills, social understanding, and independence.

Why this role:

As an ASD Specialist, you will work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff to create an environment where every learner can thrive. You'll help deliver structured learning sessions, provide one-to-one and small-group interventions, and use a range of strategies to support communication, emotional regulation, and sensory needs.

The ideal candidate:

Will be someone who demonstrates patience, empathy, and resilience. You'll have a genuine passion for helping young people with additional needs and a flexible, positive attitude toward supporting learning in creative and engaging ways.

You’ll ideally have experience supporting learners with Autism or complex communication needs, either in a school, care, or community setting. However, the school also provides comprehensive training, so strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn are equally valuable.

In return, you will receive:
  • 110 - 120 per day
  • Long‑term, full‑time position with consistent hours
  • Easy commute to Greenwich
  • A supportive and collaborative school team
  • Access to specialist training, mentoring, and ongoing CPD
  • Clear career progression opportunities within the education and training sector
  • A welcoming environment where your work genuinely changes lives
Why join this school?
  • The school is known for its inclusive and nurturing ethos. Staff are passionate about ensuring that every pupil – no matter their background or ability – receives the highest quality of education and care. You’ll join a friendly, experienced team who share your commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people with ASD.
  • This role offers the chance to develop a fulfilling career within the education and training sector, whether your long‑term goal is to become a Senior TA, HLTA, ASD Specialist Teacher, or pursue teacher training.
  • If you are ready to make a real difference and grow your career supporting learners with Autism, we would love to hear from you.
