Job Title: Asbestos Technical / Quality Manager

Location: Cardiff, South Wales.

Salary / Benefits: £25k – £40k + Training + Benefits

Level of Experience: Trainee Asbestos Technical / Quality Manager through to Lead Asbestos Technical / Quality Manager

We are currently working closely with a specialist Asbestos Consultancy, who provide a wide range of asbestos management services to clients across the South of England. Our client is seeking to recruit an experienced Asbestos Technical / Quality Manager based in the South Wales / South West area. The successful candidate will be overseeing the company’s quality standards, ensuring compliance with quality procedures and standards in order to maintain the company’s industry accreditations.

Applications will be considered from: Newport, Pontypridd, Bridgend, Port Talbot, Swansea, Bristol, Gloucester, Cheltenham, Stroud, Chippenham, Bath, Trowbridge, Weston-Super-Mare, Glastonbury, Yeovil, Sailsbury.

Experience & Qualifications

• Must hold the P402, P403, P404 / CCP / CoCa qualification.
• Will have a strong technical / quality / management / auditing background within the Asbestos industry.
• Experience developing training plans, managing quality control systems, and maintaining UKAS accreditations.
• Excellent organisational, communication, leadership, and people management skills.
• Excellent working knowledge of relevant Health and Safety / HSG / UKAS guidelines.
• Proficient IT skills.

The Role

• Ensuring technical and quality procedures are kept up to date with relevant legislations and ensuring staff are carrying out work in line with current legislation.
• Carrying out improvements to technical standards of work carried out by all staff.
• Managing of technical and quality operations and ensuring they run efficiently.
• Developing and managing training plans for staff in line with company needs.
• Carrying out audits, inspections, and quality control in order to maintain the company’s UKAS accreditation.
• Providing consultancy and technical services and advice to existing and new clients.
• Quality checking of survey and analytical reports in line with audit requirements.
• Managing non-conforming work and development of corrective and preventive action.
• Managing the internal and external quality control systems.
• Will use TEAMS to keep company databases up to date and produce accurate reports.
