Penguin Recruitment in Manchester is seeking an experienced Asbestos Surveyor to deliver high-quality surveying services across diverse client sites in the North West. You will work independently while benefiting from a strong technical and operational support framework, ensuring surveys comply with HSG264 and current asbestos legislation.

The role requires conducting management and refurbishment surveys, bulk sampling, and producing compliant reports.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Asbestos Surveyor.
• Strong understanding of HSG264 and current asbestos legislation.
• Experience in a UKAS-accredited environment desirable.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong communication and report-writing skills.
• Ability to manage field-based workload independently.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out Management and Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG264
• Conducting bulk asbestos sampling across a range of property and site types
• Producing accurate, detailed, and compliant asbestos survey reports
• Working across commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, infrastructure, and public sector environments
• Managing your own diary and workload effectively
• Liaising professionally with clients, contractors, and site representatives
• Maintaining accurate electronic records and survey documentation
• Ensuring all work complies with current asbestos legislation, HSE guidance, and internal quality procedures
