SGS is looking for an Asbestos Consultant to carry out surveys and sampling across the UK. You will provide practical advice to help clients manage asbestos risks and meet legal responsibilities, with most initial work on domestic properties.

The role requires surveying, risk assessment, reporting, and close collaboration with clients and project teams to ensure compliance and timely on-site resolutions.

Competenze

• RSPH Level 3 Certificate in Asbestos Surveying or P402 qualification required.
• Full UK driving licence is essential for site travel.
• Minimum 6 months relevant work experience in asbestos surveying.

Mansioni

• Conduct asbestos surveys and safely sample suspect materials on client sites.
• Record findings accurately and report in line with procedures.
• Assess risks, advise on removal or safe management to maintain compliance.

Formazione

RSPH Level 3 Certificate in Asbestos Surveying OR P402 Qualification

Full UK Driving Licence

Job Description

• Job Title: Asbestos Consultant
• Job Type: Permanent
• Location: Doncaster
• Hours: Monday to Friday 40 hours per week - Paid overtime
• Salary: from £38,000 pa DOE & Company Vehicle
• Pension: Up to 8% matched

Join SGS as an Asbestos Surveyor, carrying out asbestos surveys and sampling at client sites across the UK. You’ll provide accurate, practical advice to help clients manage asbestos risks and meet their legal and safety responsibilities. Be advised most of the initial work is to work on domestic properties

• Conduct asbestos surveys, safely sample suspect materials, and accurately record findings in line with job instructions and internal procedures.
• Assess identified asbestos risks, advise clients on appropriate removal or safe management, and provide ongoing support to maintain compliance.
• Collaborate closely with clients and project teams, ensuring effective communication, timely reporting, and resolution of any on-site issues.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role is someone who is technically knowledgeable, safety-focused and highly detail-oriented. You'll be confident working independently, travelling to and working on client sites; assessing asbestos risks and providing practical, compliant advice with a professional approach

Essential Qualifications / Experience

• RSPH Level 3 Certificate in Asbestos Surveying OR P402 Qualification
• Full Driving Licence for use in the UK
• Minimum 6 months relevant work experience in Asbestos Surveying
