A leading asbestos consultancy is seeking an Asbestos Surveyor/Consultant to cover contracts in East Anglia. You will be responsible for carrying out asbestos surveys, ensuring compliance with HSG 264 guidelines, and providing consultancy support to clients. Candidates must hold the BOHS P402 qualification and possess extensive surveyor experience. This position involves travelling predominantly across East Anglia, offering an opportunity to contribute to various sectors including social housing and local authorities.

Qualifications

• Must hold the BOHS P402 or RSPH equivalent.
• Extensive hands-on experience as a surveyor for a reputable UKAS accredited Asbestos Consultancy.
• Able to work in line with HSG 264 guidelines.

Responsibilities

Job description

Our client is a reputable Asbestos Company who specialise in providing Asbestos Surveying services across Social Housing, Local Authority, Retail, Domestic, and Educational sites. They are now seeking to take on an Asbestos Surveyor / Consultant to cover contracts in East Anglia. You will be responsible for carrying out asbestos surveys across our clients longstanding client base, ensuring work is carried out in line with HSG 264 guidelines. You will also be required to liaise with clients directly, providing excellent consultancy advice and support. This role would suit someone who is looking to travel predominantly across East Anglia.

Consideration will be given to candidates from: Great Yarmouth. Lowestoft, Diss, Thetford, Wisbech, Downham Market, March, Ely, Newmarket, Bury St Edmunds, Stowmarket Ipswich, Felixstowe, Harwich, Colchester, Clacton-on-Sea, Chelmsford, Saffron Walden, Maldon, Basildon, Brentwood, Southend-on-Sea, Harlow, Chelmsford.

Experience & Qualifications

• Must hold the BOHS P402 or RSPH equivalent.
• Will have extensive hands-on experience working as a surveyor for a reputable UKAS accredited Asbestos Consultancy.

The Role

• Working on Social Housing, Local Authority, Retail, Domestic, and Educational sites.
• Carrying out Management, Refurbishment, and Demolition surveys.
• Carrying out re-inspection surveys upon completion of work.
• Ensuring work carried out adheres to HSG 264 guidelines.
• Liaising with clients, providing excellent consultancy advice and support.
• Creating excellent comprehensive reports using TEAMS / TRACKER systems.
• Carrying out quality checking on reports prior to sending to clients.
• Liaising with surveyors, advising on discrepancies in reports and amending as required.
