Job summary

Lucion Group is seeking an Asbestos Surveyor to cover Sevenoaks, Kent and surrounding areas. You will perform all disciplines of asbestos surveys and produce high-quality reports using NexGen, while complying with HSG264 and other regulations.

The role is field-based, requiring travel across Kent. You will handle data collection on-site, interact with clients, and contribute to safe, compliant project delivery.

• Hands-on asbestos surveying and inspection across multiple survey types.
• Must comply with relevant asbestos legislation and guidance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all disciplines of asbestos surveying and inspection (Management, Refurbishment and Demolition).
• Travel across Sevenoaks, Kent and surrounding areas to client sites.
• Collect accurate site data using a phablet and generate high-quality NexGen reports.
• Maintain QHSE documentation and follow internal assurance processes.
• Provide clear advice and professional service to clients and contractors.

What You’ll Be Doing (And Why It Matters)

This is a proper hands-on surveying role. You’ll be out and about across Sevenoaks, Kent and the surrounding area, working on everything from commercial buildings and construction projects to public-sector estates and other client sites.

Your attention to detail will directly support safer buildings, better decision-making and compliant project delivery.

You’ll:

• Carry out all disciplines of asbestos surveying and inspection, including Management, Refurbishment and Demolition Surveys, plus asbestos in the ground.
• Travel across Sevenoaks, Kent and the surrounding areas to visit client sites.
• Collect accurate factual and numerical site data using a phablet device, producing high-quality reports through our award-winning NexGen system.
• Work in line with all relevant asbestos legislation and guidance, including HSG264, HSE requirements and construction regulations.
• Maintain your personal QHSE documentation and follow our internal assurance processes.
• Provide a professional, friendly service to clients, answering questions and offering clear advice and interpretation where needed.
• Communicate clearly with clients, colleagues and contractors — because good surveying is about more than collecting samples.
• Deliver accurate, consistent work without taking shortcuts.

About You

You understand that asbestos surveying comes with responsibility — and you take that responsibility seriously.

You’ll ideally:

• Hold BOHS P402, an RSPH equivalent qualification, or a Certificate of Competence.
• Have a good working knowledge of HSG264 (The Survey Guide).
• Hold a full UK manual driving licence.
• Be based in or around Sevenoaks, Kent or the surrounding areas.
• Be comfortable travelling across Kent and the wider South East, and occasionally further afield.
• Be flexible when occasional out-of-hours work is required.
• Be confident working independently while contributing effectively to a wider team.
• Bring a strong work ethic and a practical, professional approach to site work.
• Be someone clients and colleagues can rely on.
