Job summary

An asbestos consultancy is seeking an experienced Asbestos Surveyor in the Dudley area who can manage domestic and social housing surveys. The ideal candidate will hold the BOHS P402 or equivalent and have strong knowledge of HSG guidelines. Responsibilities include sampling and ensuring compliance. Candidates familiar with TEAMS and TRACKER systems are preferred, and additional certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Mandatory BOHS P402 or RSPH equivalent certification.
• Experience in an established Asbestos Consultancy is beneficial.
• Excellent knowledge of HSG guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Travel regionally across the Midlands for surveys.
• Conduct management, refurbishment, and demolition surveys.
• Sample and bag ACMs correctly for laboratory analysis.
• Use TEAMS / TRACKER for reporting.
• Maintain professional relationships with clients.

We currently have a rapidly growing, UKAS accredited Asbestos consultancy with a strong presence in the Midlands area that is now seeking an Asbestos Surveyor. The role is ideal for a candidate experienced in Domestic and Social Housing sites, carrying out full surveying duties, including sampling and bagging of ACMs, ensuring compliance with relevant HSG guidelines. Experience in Commercial sites would be beneficial as the firm is looking to expand its portfolio.

Locations considered: Birmingham, Wolverhampton, West Bromwich, Kidderminster, Stourbridge, Walsall, Solihull, Ludlow, Telford, Shropshire, Stafford, Derby, Leicester, Nottingham, Market Harborough, Beeston, Warwick, Corby.

Experience & Qualifications

• (Mandatory) BOHS P402 or RSPH equivalent.
• (Beneficial) Experience working for an established Asbestos Consultancy, ideally within a surveying role.
• Demonstrable excellent working knowledge of relevant HSG guidelines.
• Excellent communication skills and familiarity with TEAMS / TRACKER systems.

The Role

• Travel regionally across the Midlands, working on Domestic and Social Housing sites, undertaking management, refurbishment, and demolition surveys.
• Undertaking re-inspection surveys upon completion of work.
• Sampling and bagging of ACMs ensuring they are correctly labelled prior to sending to the laboratory.
• Use of industry relevant systems to collect information to produce detailed reports (TEAMS / TRACKER).
• Ensuring work is carried out in line with relevant HSG guidelines.
• Liaising with clients, maintaining an excellent professional relationship, and providing excellent consultancy advice when required.
