Asbestos Report Writer

£25,000 to £30,000

Basildon, Essex

Our client is a thriving, independently owned and UKAS-accredited asbestos management consultancy based in Essex. As the business continues to grow, they are looking to appoint an Asbestos Report Writer to join their Basildon office.

As an Asbestos Report Writer, you'll be responsible for transforming survey and analytical data into clear, accurate client reports while supporting the wider consultancy team with day-to-day operations.

Previous experience in the asbestos sector, particularly in report writing, would be ideal - especially if you've used Alpha Tracker. However, the team is equally open to candidates from related technical backgrounds who have a strong eye for detail and take pride in producing well-presented, reliable work.

As an Asbestos Report Writer, you will:

  • Produce clear, accurate asbestos survey and analytical reports in line with company and client standards
  • Review and verify survey data, photographs and notes, resolving queries with surveyors or management as needed
  • Liaise with laboratories to monitor sample results and follow up on outstanding information
  • Manage workloads effectively to meet client deadlines while maintaining communication across teams
  • Ensure consistent and accurate data across reporting platforms and internal systems
  • Support client queries and assist with general administrative tasks when required

What are we looking for?

  • Previous experience in asbestos reporting or similar technical administration role
  • Familiarity with Alpha Tracker is highly desirable (training can be provided)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and pride in producing accurate, professional work
  • Clear, confident communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organisational ability with a proactive and methodical approach
  • Competent in Microsoft Office and quick to adapt to new systems
