Job description

Our client is a long-standing asbestos consultancy with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality asbestos and environmental services to clients throughout the UK. They are currently recruiting for an experienced and driven Asbestos Project Manager based in and around the Leeds area. The successful applicant will hold the P402 asbestos certificate and will have previous experience working in a project management role within the asbestos industry including previous experience producing estimates and undertaking audits. Applications from Wakefield, Huddersfield, Barnsley, Wetherby and the surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & Experience

• Will hold the P402 certificate or the equivalent RSPH qualification.
• Experience of working in an asbestos project management role.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Competent with Microsoft Office package.
• Well-versed with asbestos health & safety legislation/procedures.

Role

• Managing a wide range of asbestos projects.
• Producing estimates and quotations for potential contracts and completing risk assessments.
• Undertake audits and ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Health & Safety procedures.
• Produce comprehensive management reports.
• Supervising site staff carrying out work on various projects.
• Writing tender specifications, accompanying contractors to site and evaluating tenders submitted.
• Getting involved with quality control and reporting.
• Visiting sites and auditing.
• Maintaining a professional working relationship with the company’s clients.
