A reputable asbestos company is looking for an Asbestos Project Administration / Co‑ordinator in the Basildon area. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the asbestos industry and excellent communication and organisational skills. Responsibilities include scheduling, maintaining databases, and assisting with quality control on projects. This role has been filled and is no longer open for applications.

Job Title: Asbestos Project Administration / Co‑ordinator

Location: Basildon, Essex.

Salary / Benefits: £20k – £30k + Training + Benefits

Level of Experience: Trainee through to Lead Asbestos Project Administration / Co‑ordinator

Profile: Our client is a reputable asbestos company who works across the UK on retail, leisure, industrial, healthcare, and commercial sites. They are now looking for an Asbestos Project Administration / Co‑ordinator based in and around the Basildon area. The ideal candidate will have experience working within the asbestos industry, ideally in an administrative position, assisting managers with quality control, monitoring figures, organising workloads, and assisting with project‑related quotations. Applications will be considered from: Gray’s, Gravesend, Bexleyheath, Sidcup, Swanley, Raiman, Dagenham, Ilford, Romford, Rochester, Rainham.

Experience & Qualifications
  • Extensive experience working within the asbestos industry.
  • Ideally coming from an administrative background.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office.
The Role
  • Collecting information and maintaining internal databases and software.
  • Scheduling in and managing workloads for site staff.
  • Dealing with customer enquiries in an effective and timely manner.
  • Assisting managers with training of project teams.
  • Undertaking technical review of survey reports.
  • Assisting with the production of RAMS.
  • Monitoring company resource figures throughout the duration of projects.
  • Assisting with the management of quality control for projects.
  • Assisting with project specifications, method statements and risk assessments.
  • Providing managers with any relevant feedback from clients.
  • Assisting with other general administrative duties, such as making and receiving calls, updating diaries and site schedules, booking appointments.
