Job summary

Inspectas Compliance Ltd offers an Asbestos Analyst & Surveyor Apprentice role designed to train you from inspection and sampling through to reporting and surveying. You will work alongside authorised professionals, gaining hands-on experience and progressing into surveying duties as competence grows, with a strong emphasis on health, safety and quality throughout the programme.

Responsibilities

• Carry out asbestos inspections, testing, sampling and air monitoring under guidance.
• Support risk assessments and related asbestos activities meeting statutory and company requirements.
• Produce accurate reports and technical documentation after inspections and testing.
• Follow health, safety, quality and regulatory procedures, including PPE and specialist equipment.
• Develop knowledge of asbestos legislation and industry guidance through training.
• Gain experience in management, refurbishment and demolition surveys as you progress.
• Visit sites, liaise with clients and assist in preparing survey reports and documentation.
• Check and maintain surveying equipment to keep it safe and serviceable.

Job description

We are pleased to offer an opportunity for an Asbestos Analyst & Surveyor Apprentice to join Inspectas Compliance. The apprenticeship will provide you with the training, qualifications and practical experience needed to develop towards becoming a qualified asbestos consultant.

You will initially develop your skills within asbestos analysis, working alongside experienced and fully authorised professionals to gain hands‑on experience. As you develop your knowledge and competence, you will have the opportunity to build your skills further within asbestos surveying.

This is a varied, practical role combining site‑based work with technical reporting, client interaction and a strong focus on health, safety and quality.

What you’ll be doing:

• Carrying out asbestos inspections, testing, sampling and air monitoring under the guidance of experienced professionals.
• Supporting risk assessments and other asbestos-related activities while ensuring work meets statutory and company requirements.
• Producing accurate reports and technical documentation following site inspections and testing.
• Following strict health & safety, quality assurance and regulatory procedures, including the correct use of PPE, RPE and specialist equipment.
• Developing your knowledge of asbestos legislation, industry guidance and internal procedures through ongoing training and professional development.
• As you progress, gaining experience in management, refurbishment and demolition asbestos surveys, including inspections and bulk sampling.
• Carrying out site visits, liaising with clients and supporting the preparation of asbestos survey reports and documentation.
• Checking and maintaining work, surveying and inspection equipment to ensure it remains safe and serviceable.
