Job summary

Medecho LTD is seeking an experienced Specialty Doctor in Trauma & Orthopaedics to join an NHS Trust on a locum basis with an immediate start in Basildon, UK.

Essential requirements include GMC registration, NHS experience, ATLS certification, and availability to commence ASAP. The role involves acute trauma care, ward rounds, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team in an on-site setting.

Qualifications

• GMC registration with licence to practise.
• NHS experience in Trauma & Orthopaedics.
• ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support) certification.
• Valid Right to Work in the UK.
• Available to commence work ASAP.
• Strong clinical and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assessment and management of trauma and orthopaedic patients.
• Participation in fracture clinics and outpatient services.
• Ward rounds and inpatient management.
• Management of acute orthopaedic admissions.
• Pre-operative and post-operative patient care.
• Assisting in trauma and elective theatre sessions.
• Liaising with consultants, nursing staff, physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals.
• Participation in on-call rotas where required.
• Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation.
