Job summary

Dovetail HRS in Salisbury seeks an experienced Operations Director to oversee premises, visitor experience, events management, and IT across the charity. You’ll join the Senior Management Team to support a major refurbishment and a new five-year strategy while ensuring safe, welcoming environments.

Ideal candidates will bring senior operations experience in arts or charitable settings, strong planning and risk management skills, and a track record of delivering efficient, high-quality services

Qualifications

• Proven senior management experience in arts, culture or visitor attractions.
• Strong leadership and ability to motivate cross-functional teams.
• Financial literacy with budget setting and cost control experience.
• IT literacy and familiarity with facilities software and IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Develop a 5-year Capital Investment Plan for premises and facilities.
• Oversee comprehensive risk assessments and safety policies.
• Lead on environmental sustainability and maintenance programs.
• Direct commercial, visitor experience and front-of-house operations.
• Manage IT systems, digital infrastructure and service contracts.
