Job summary

The Bread Factory Limited in Bath is seeking an experienced bakery supervisor to oversee daily production of breads and pastries, ensuring consistent quality, taste, and presentation while meeting production schedules. You will lead, motivate, and develop a team of bakers, provide hands-on support across prep, mixing, proofing and baking, and uphold health and safety standards.

The role runs 45 hours per week, 5:00 PM–2:00 AM, with staff discounts and holiday entitlement.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a bakery or food production environment.
• Strong leadership and team supervision abilities.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in food production.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production of bread and pastries to meet quality and schedule targets.
• Lead, motivate and develop a team of bakers with hands-on support.
• Participate in preparation, mixing, shaping, proofing and baking processes.
• Monitor workflow, resolve production or equipment issues, maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Contribute to stock control, ingredient management and onboarding of new staff.
