Job summary

Understanding Recruitment is partnering with a fast-growing UK AI company to hire an AI Engineer who sits between research and engineering, turning ideas into robust production systems.

You will work across traditional ML, deep learning, transformers and Generative AI on large-scale datasets, collaborating with researchers and product/engineering teams to guide architecture and roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Experience deploying ML into production.
• Solid knowledge of traditional ML techniques.
• Understanding of deep learning and transformers.
• Exposure to Generative AI.
• Statistical knowledge and interest in causal modelling.

We’re working with a fast-growing UK AI company developing advanced machine learning technology around large-scale behavioural and transactional data.

They’re looking for an AI Engineer who enjoys sitting between research and engineering — taking new ideas across predictive ML, causal modelling and Generative AI and turning them into robust production systems.

What we’re looking for

• Strong Python and SQL
• Experience deploying machine learning into production
• Solid knowledge of traditional ML techniques
• Understanding of deep learning and transformers
• Exposure to Generative AI
• Statistical knowledge and an interest in causal modelling
• Experience with GitHub and CI/CD
• MSc or PhD is beneficial, but not essential
