Prism Digital is hiring an Artificial Intelligence Engineer to build hands-on AI solutions that move beyond theory. You will drop into cross-functional areas, ship usable tools, measure impact, and hand over assets to keep value flowing.
The role emphasizes practical delivery, experimentation, and rapid iteration across different business domains. The position is onsite in Manchester with seniority openness and a strong focus on tangible AI tooling and optimization.
This client builds cybersecurity software used by security teams the world over, and they’ve made a call most companies only talk about: AI isn’t a side project here, it’s becoming the central way they work across every part of the business. They’re an established firm with the budget and the mandate to move fast on it, and they’re hiring a small number of people to actually do the work. You’d be one of them.
The role is built for someone who builds. You drop into a corner of the business that hasn’t cracked AI yet, embed with the people closest to the work, ship something that genuinely makes their week easier, prove it helped, then move on. You'll be sat with a team for the fortnight, working out where the friction is, building a working tool that saves them hours, evaluating it properly, then handing it over so it keeps running after you’ve gone. Two weeks later you’re on something completely different. You don’t get a permanent team or a permanent desk, and that’s the point.
Most AI transformation jobs are strategy roles at arm’s length: frameworks, slide decks, steering committees. This is the opposite. It’s the role for the person who actually wants to do the transforming, with the tooling and the backing to get it done.
If you’re a bit stuck where you are, the spend capped, the good tooling blocked, the ambition missing, this will feel like a release. You’ll be somewhere AI is taken seriously, getting far more done than you would anywhere else and enjoying the work. The variety is the other draw: you’re never in the same corner of the business for long, so you’re never bored.
