Job summary

Worle Community School Academy is seeking an Art Technician to join our creative team. You will work with teaching staff to keep art studios running smoothly and help students get the most from practical lessons.

The role requires hands-on art media experience and a proactive, organised approach, with a strong commitment to student safety and safeguarding. 30 hours per week during term time, with some holiday days to be agreed.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with art media and techniques such as ceramics, printmaking, photography, or digital design.
• Strong organisational skills to prioritise tasks around a busy school timetable.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students and staff.
• A strong commitment to student safety and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Set up materials, tools and equipment for daily art, ceramics, printmaking and photography classes.
• Assist students during lessons by demonstrating tools, techniques and software safely.
• Maintain equipment and manage stock levels and ordering.
• Keep art spaces clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards (COSHH).
• Mount and display student artwork for moderation, portfolios and school exhibitions.
