Job summary

Pyrland School is seeking a proactive Art Technician to support the Art department with materials prep, display setup and safe storage of supplies. You will help maintain classrooms and studios, ensuring equipment is ready for lessons and kept in good order.

You'll contribute to a safe learning environment, comply with health and safety policies, and take pride in accurate audits and efficient stores management to support teaching staff and students.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in art or equivalent required.
• GCSE English and Maths at C or above required.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to monitor equipment and facilities.
• Knowledge of school policies and safe classroom practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials and apparatus for the Art curriculum in teaching rooms.
• Maintain Art facilities to a high standard and ensure health and safety compliance.
• Audit use of facilities and manage equipment stores.

Education

Job description

A new opportunity has arisen for a flexible and resourceful Art Technician to join our team at Pyrland School, playing a crucial role in supporting the wider Art department with preparation and assistance with art-related materials as well as facility maintenance., You'll be responsible for the preparation of a range of materials and apparatus for the Art curriculum within teaching rooms for academic staff and students. As well as this, you'll take pride in ensuring Art facilities are maintained to a high standard, conforming to Health and Safety standards whilst also assisting in auditing the use of facilities and equipment and maintaining the equipment stores., As a Art Technician within Pyrland School, you'll be able to contribute to a safe and efficient learning environment within the wider team, and will have the opportunity to develop your skillset with key training and development opportunities available.

• Minimum of NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in a relevant Art specialism
• GCSE English and Maths at C grade or above
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to effectively monitor usage and standards of equipment and facilities
• Knowledge of relevant school policies and codes of safe practice within the classroom
