Horizon Teachers are looking for a reliable and creative Art Technician to support a vibrant secondary school in Lewisham. This long-term role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical work, is highly organised, and is passionate about helping students thrive in a busy Art and D&T environment.

The successful candidate must have either:

  • A degree in Art or a related discipline, or
  • Previous experience working as an Art Technician in a school or studio environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing and maintaining materials, tools, and equipment for Art and D&T lessons
  • Supporting teachers during practical sessions
  • Ensuring classrooms and workshops are safe, organised, and fully stocked
  • Assisting with displays, exhibitions, and student coursework
  • Managing resources and ordering supplies
Ideal Candidate
  • Strong practical skills in a range of artistic mediums
  • Good understanding of safe working practices
  • Organised, proactive, and able to work independently
